Ever since starting my cancer journey, I've dreamed of immersing myself in Japanese culture, savoring incredible cuisine, and mastering the language firsthand. Currently, I'm studying Japanese on Duolingo and still getting treatment at UCLA so I cant travel just yet, but Im looking forward to the immersive experience of living and learning in Japan. The goal is to be ready by Summer 2026!

I am already fluent in Spanish after studying for five years, and learning Japanese will be my third language. Traveling and adventure have always been my passions, and the thought of spending a summer in Japan attending a language school has been an incredible source of motivation through my treatment. I'll be sharing my experiences, travels, and language progress on TikTok, so you can follow along every step of the way!
