You know me so you know that asking for help is something I don't do, but when it comes to my mom, I'll do anything, anyway I can. So, I guess I'm asking for a little help with airfare to get to my mom in NY and then back here to TX to my studies. (To clarify: I just need a little help. I can afford a one way ticket but have to make it round trip- eww. Texas, I know.) Asking this at this time is crazy, too-- with the govenrnment shut down, inflation and all else that you're tacklign right now. If you can help, thank you. If you are unable to, you know I know your family comes first, always and all ways. I love all of you and appreciate you even taking the time to entertain this embarasing, yet necessary ask:
Long story short- Mom is having a HUGE week next week and closing on her first ever solo home. She is over the moon about it, especially in light of what she's been going through for so long; however, it's really bittersweet B/C of all that. I'd like to take a quick trip to NY to surprise my mom AT her new house ON the day of her closing. She shouldn't be doing this alone. I want to help her with the movers, clearing out the storage space, and I want to spend the first few days of living in her new home with her, celebrating her new life. I want to wake up with her the morning after her closing, on the floor (because there are no beds in the hoouse yet), and have her first coffee in her new place together. I want to order in pizza and laugh until we pee ourselves in her unfurnished, new home. I want to hug my mom for hours and do this all with her becaue she is deserving of a purely happy moment as she moves on into her beautiful life, in her beautiful home.
