I want to volunteer in Sri Lanka because help is needed over there. My volunteer trip is with Projects Abroad, and the project I chose is a medical internship. There I will be learning from local doctors, and helping around with medical checkups. I really hope I can go because I want to help abroad, and because it would give me some real life experience on how developing countries work in the world of medicine. 

I'm also interested in medicine, and hope I can one day get into a profession involving medicine, so this trip would help me immensely with choosing my career.
