He has been enduring 3 days a week and numerous hours of dialysis for the past 4 years to stay by her side. He doesn't qualify for a kidney transplant because according to the doctor his quality of life isn't good enough. Basically he's going to die sooner than a healthy person. Of course I do not agree because any amount of time that he could be with me longer I believe is worth it. So in order to stay alive dialysis was what he had to do. If he missed any treatment he would die. He went to every treatment because upon my parents wedding day he vowed to never leave her side or leave her alone. He has honored this vow because she has passed. Now he has spoken to his doctor and decided that they will put him in hospice so he will die comfortably. He has one last wish. He has never met his 2 amazing great daughters and his last wish is to meet them. I am not financially equipped to bring them there so I am asking strangers and anyone else that may have the money to do so to please help. I've already applied for loans and credit cards because I have awful credit I've been denied. I work 40 hours a week as a pharmacy technician and I am currently going through a separation with my daughter's father. He was an alcoholic and abusive to me and I stayed with him for 10 years and finally got the strength to leave him. Although I had to leave with nothing we were never married so he got everything. I'm living paycheck to paycheck just to cover rent and take care of my girls. We weren't able to even make it to my mother's funeral.

Now I need to get to Connecticut from Virginia. In order to get us there I have gotten prices and here is the breakdown.

1,244 miles round-trip $3.72 average price of gas

Total $230 for gas

7 days of food for 3 people est. 75/day

$525 food

 

Total estimated cost $2,381 give or take

 

Now this may not seem like much but to me it may as well cost 1 million dollars. I have no other family no aunts, uncles or cousins so I have no options and hope that you could imagine if you never met your grandchildren and you were in hospice just praying and waiting to see if a miracle will occur before you take your last breath.

Please help me get my beautiful daughters to Connecticut and to my father's bedside before he joins my mom in heaven.
