My Travel Story

My name is Mady Holmes, I'm 16 years old and I'm planning on going to Ireland in July 2022 for my university English credit (ENG4U). Being given the opportunity to study my favourite subject abroad means the world to me, and gives me the chance to learn about the rich history and celebrated literature of Ireland, along with the opportunity to deepen my investment in the literary arts. I've always loved reading and writing poetry, short stories, journal entries and just about anything else, and it would mean so much for me to be able to write about and share my adventures and experiences in the stunning schools and countrysides of Ireland. I have actually been to Ireland (briefly) during March break of 2020, but our family trip was cut short to 3 days due to the pandemic severely worsening across the world. It would be so amazing to be able to go back and visit the country I fell in love with, and study the historic literary works of Irish writers in the same beautiful country they were brought to life.
