My Travel Story

One day you wake up in a hospital bed because what you thought was an arm twitch was actually a partial seizure. When the doctor talks to you it's like a slow motion film, him basically telling you that there is a tumor in your brain. So you visualize all the years gone by and all the trips you would have wanted to take but never had the opportunity to do. You were busy living an ordinary life, paying bills, and raising 4 kids. Now at 56 you want to do stuff that makes you happy. You want to go on adventures. You want to explore and you create a bucket list of places you want to go to. Only thing holding you back from living your dream is funds.

Any amount helps, $5 is about the price of a starbucks coffee and it will be going towards my dream. I've set up a blog to keep everyone updated on my surgery and recovery and on my planned trips. The total cost of going to all these amazing places is a whole lot but maybe I can give you something in exchange for your generosity and kindness.

So many places that I want to go to. Places like England, Portugal, Spain, France, Croatia, Italy, Greece and so many more. I want to blog and write about my adventures and share the wonderful photographs and motivational quotes with you. It's july 23rd and I just started my blog. I will also be selling my art to raise funds for my dreams.

I just want you all to know that I'm so grateful for everything. I'm here, I'm strong, I'm fearless and I will achieve my dreams regardless of what is thrown my way.

  • Thinking Of England

    Thinking of England
    I've been dreaming of all the places I want to visit and see in England.
    I want to visit Pricelet Street, Spitalfields because it’s suppose to be a very eclectic area with beautiful old building. I know they have lots of photo shoots there and it’s a popular film location.

    And I have to visit the place of one of my favorite movies -> Nothing Hill with it’s pastel houses and cute streets. plus they have one of the most gorgeous shops called Biscuiteer. Then on the St. Jame’s Park to feed the ducks and squirrels.

    Will go for a drink at the Hilton DoubleTree Sky Lounge because the views are supposed to be spectacular from there. In West London I want to visit Harrod’s, not that I can afford to purchase anything there but just to browse and pretend I’m a client.

    I’ve read that Wingate Road is a lovely street to take photos of some amazing entrances. I photograph doors and entryways. One day I’ll publish a book with all my amazing photos of doors.

    Since I love art especially street art I will visit Shoreditch which has the most colorful graffiti in the city. Of course Big Ben and Saint Paul’s Cathedral can’t be missed either. Maybe end up having some cocktails at the Charlotte Street Hotel in Fitzrovia.

    I’ve also heard that I can’t miss Fortnum and Mason and I want to visit the Monument of the Great Fire of London.

    Then I will head out of London to visit the following:

    Only I can change my life!
    Sometimes we wait for good things to happen for us. We might pray, dream or wish but we actually don't do anything or change anything in our daily life. Changes are hard for most people because a lot of us are creatures of habit. We want something better but yet we put off making changes.

    I'm making changes today by starting this campaign, by dreaming that I will actually get to travel to all the places on my bucket list because I want it so badly and I'm ready to work hard to make it happen.
