My Travel Story

I will be spending my 33rd birthday this September in Zambia, Africa doing medical volunteer work. I have chosen to specialize in pediatrics and midwifery during this one week volunteer trip. For as long as I can remember volunteering in an underprivileged country has always been a desire well before I entered the medical field. Once I went
into nursing the desire to volunteer was then coupled with the thirst of education of varying illnesses and diseases in these developing that we do not see in the states. I am I excited and honored to be given the opportunity to help children and pregnant women in Zambia, but even volunteer work comes with program fees, travel, and insurance expenses.
