My Travel Story

I am absolutely excited to have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala this summer to engage with a community of educators and learners. I will be traveling with T2TGlobal as both student and teacher working alongside teachers and students and providing them with strategies on how to deepen their implementation of STEM instruction.
My work as an educator began 29 years ago and one of my dreams has always been to volunteer teach in another country, and after close to 30 years I am finally making this a reality. 

This trip is going to be a learning experience for myself, as it will no doubt be for the fellow teachers with whom I will travel.  I along with the rest of the T2TGlobal team will work collaboratively alongside teachers in the villages of Ciudad Vieja and San Lorenzo el Cubo for 5 days engaging in collaborative coaching and cultural exchange.
I plan on documenting my journey through journal, video and photos to share upon my return.
While I am financing the cost of this trip, I am seeking contributions and donations from friends, family and colleagues to help alleviate some of the expenses that will be incurred. Thus I welcome any amount you can and or are willing to contribute, no amount will be considered too small. Thank you much in advance!

  • TRIP UPDATE!!!!

    First let me thank ALL who have donated your contributions have amounted to a total of $760.00 ALL of which has gone towards the program and travel costs , the trip details have now been fine tuned I will be at the Education for the Children School of Hope in the town of Jocotenango, Sacatepequez. We will be staying in Antigua but will travel to the school daily.
