Hey, there! My name is Enmanuel Martínez, and I'm and a queer filmmaker from Panama City, Panama in Central America. This past December, I got the honor of being accepted into the Advanced Studies Program: “The screenwriter as an author” at the Dominican Republic's film school, Chavón. This is a very exciting opportunity as it is a difficult school to get into. Although this program is mostly remote via Zoom, we are asked to travel to Santo Domingo for every module. Being an artist in Panama doesn't pay much, and I have always had a full time job. Unfortunately, at the end of last year, the company I worked for ended operations unexpectedly, and I haven't been able to find a new job yet.

I really hope you can help travel so that I can continue my education and am able to create films that transcend Panama's boundaries and impact the entire world.
