Help Carter Learn Geoscience in the Himalaya!
My Travel Story
My name is Carter! I am an Environmental Geoscience major and Religious Studies minor at Valdosta State University. Going on this study abroad will help expand my ideas of the world and help me learn from a perspective outside of America. The best way for a geoscientist to learn is hands on in the field, which this program would allow me the opportunity to accomplish in the Himalayas! These experiences would not only help expand my educational and professional experience, but it will allow me to take this new cultural experience and reflect it to the society around me when I come back home to the United States. It would serve to enable me to understand others around me bettter. My passions include helping the environment and sustainable practices and work ethics. I desire to help in the ways I can to work with the environment and help to help potential future damages. I hope that my experience abroad will help to change my human experience so I can better offer that environmental help and learn about a new culture and perspective to life.
