Help Me Follow My Dream of Studying Cyber Security
My Travel Story
Cyber security has always fascinated me. It’s not just a subject to me—it’s a passion. I want to earn a degree in this field and work in a profession that is meaningful, impactful, and full of opportunities. Unfortunately, where I live, pursuing this degree costs a lot—around 1 million Sri Lankan rupees (approximately 3,300 USD).
So far, I’ve saved about 250,000 rupees through hard work and determination, but I still need around 750,000 rupees (roughly 2,300 USD) to reach my goal.
I’ve tried everything within my reach. I’ve posted ads, looked for sponsors, and asked friends, but sadly, no one has been able to help. My family is also going through a tough financial time. They support my dream emotionally, but financially, they just can’t afford to contribute. I even invested some of my savings in what I hoped was a legitimate opportunity—but it turned out to be a scam, and I lost that money.
This isn’t easy for me to share, but I’m doing it because I believe in honesty, and I believe in the kindness of strangers. If needed, I can share links or documents showing the actual course fees and breakdown of costs to prove that this is a genuine cause.

I’m not asking for luxury—I just want the chance to study, grow, and make a life where I can support others one day the way I’m hoping someone will support me now. I want to make my parents proud and give back to my community in the future.
