My Travel Story
My dad Is a veteran with 3 purple hearts and one Lung. Just recently lost my job and as I'm currently looking for employment the bills keep piling up.
Im asking to go and spend a week or 2 with my dying father and, that sounds so simple but I can't do it without help. I'm a single mom of 2 and want nothing more then to go and tell my wonderful man how much I love him in person.I never thought I would be asking strangers for this but here i am . I have no other choice. To hear how I lost my job is the worst part of this story. I worked for over 6 years at the YMCA is Sewickley PA. I put in a vacation request to take my father to the beach for one last time in August for 4 days, but was denied by my supervisor. I was told by him that iI could not go and if I didn't like it, to quit!! So that's what I did. Quit! My emotions got the best of me and without thinking of the situation I now find myself in, jobless, broke and a very ill father in which time is not on my side.
