My Travel Story

How will this impact your education or career?

This internship would allow me to gain hands-on experience with drone technology in a real-world setting, expanding on the IT and technical foundation I’ve already built. It would give me a chance to apply my skills internationally, build a unique perspective on how drone technology can be used in different industries, and make me more competitive in the job market as I work toward becoming a systems administrator in the future.

How will you make a difference in the community?

I hope to contribute by using drones in ways that support local needs, whether that’s helping with mapping, environmental monitoring, or improving community infrastructure projects. By bringing technical knowledge and an eagerness to learn, I can help provide meaningful data and solutions while also sharing skills with others.

Why are you passionate about this project?

Technology, especially when applied to real-world challenges, excites me. I love the idea of using my skills in a way that benefits others, while also pushing myself to grow professionally and personally. Working with drones combines both—cutting-edge tech and practical applications that can help people.

Why did you choose this destination?

I chose Greece because of my yiayia. She is from there, and we’ve always been very close. Getting the chance to live and work in Greece would not only allow me to grow professionally, but also personally—it would help me connect more deeply with my heritage and honor the bond I share with my yiayia.

What makes this meaningful for you?

This is meaningful to me because it combines so many parts of who I am—my love of technology, my desire to help others, and my family heritage. It’s not just about professional growth, it’s about becoming more connected to my roots while doing something that matters.
