My Travel Story

I started learning Japanese in 9th grade, before the pandemic started. Throughout high school, I continued to self teach, and finally decided that I would go to college and major in Japanese.

After finishing two semesters on the Dean's list, I have been given the opportunity to study abroad in Japan for the summer. For the program, I will study at Kanda University of International Studies in Tokyo. I will join in student club activities like the daily practicing of Japanese. I will also get to experience a plethora of extracurricular trips:

Naritasan Shinshoji Temple, Meiji Jingu Shrine, Shibuya Sky, Shinjuki Gyoen National Garden, Tokyo Metropolitan Fire Museum, Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, Kamakura, Engakuji temple, Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, Hasedera temple, Big Buddha, Kyoto, Ryokan, a Zen meditation activity, guided tour of Gion District, Visits to Kiyomizu dera and Kodaiji, Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nijo Castle and Ryanji Temple.

We will also get to participate in a sushi roll class and other various cultural exchange activities. Please help me travel to the country I’ve been dreaming of for so long!!
