I have been accepted into InternAbroadHQ's language therapy volunteer program in Cusco, Peru! (https://www.internhq.com/intern-in-peru/) 

For all of July, I will be: language assistant to the classroom teacher. (Did you catch my Office reference? I tried.) I currently work as a special ed teacher assistant and plan to use some of my speech-language pathology skills to provide individual support to students in the classroom. Students may have mental and/or motor delay, causing them to experience difficulties with speech, language, thought processes or movement. 

I will be in this program for 4 weeks which will be the deciding factor to pursue a masters in speech. Because I'm bilingual in Spanish and English, this program presents the perfect opportunity to understand how Spanish-speaking students receive treatment -- something that I could refer to if I treat bilingual students back in the States. 

My goal amount includes: registration fee, program fee, airfare, and vaccinations.
