My Travel Story

by: Aman Chandra Start Date: Oct 29, 2025 - End Date: Jul 28, 2026

Hey There,
My name is Aman, and I am a 21-year-old college student, standing at the edge of my most significant life chapter, which is my graduation in 2026.

I come from a middle-class family that has done everything to support my education, sacrificing their own comforts to keep me in college. Because of their immense financial strain, travel has never been a possibility. Not a single school trip. Not a single travel exprience.

This trip to Thailand is not a holiday; it is my final, desperate window to experience the world before I put on the uniform of adult responsibility. It is my chance to breathe, to learn, and to gain the global perspective I need before entering the workforce.

From 1st year of my college, I saved money from any small earning I made during college, building a small travel fund of nearly $500. But life intervened: my old laptop crashed, and I was forced to spend every last dollar of that fund on a new laptop, that was essential to develop skills.

Now, with graduation just 6-7 months away, I have zero savings for this dream. I'm reaching out because I have exhausted every personal option, and I am asking for your belief to turn this dream into a reality.

I’ve chosen Thailand not as a luxury, but as the most financially responsible and culturally rich destination I can afford for my short window of freedom.

In Thailand:
I have Visa-Free Access - which eliminats visa costs and barriers.
Affordable Living - Ensuring my budget stretches to maximize cultural immersion.
Food and Culture - A chance to explore new cuisines and connect with people whose lives are completely different from my own.

This pilgrimage is about finding clarity, a mental and spiritual reset before I start my career. I want to meet new people and prove to myself that the world is open and welcoming, a belief I can then carry with me into my adult life.

I request your donation, no matter how small, to help me reach my goal of $2000 for two weeks of life-changing travel.

Please give me this chance to travel. You won't just be funding a trip, you'll be investing in the future of a grateful young man. Thank you for your kindness.

When I finally secure a job and achieve financial stability, I vow to pay it forward. I will dedicate a portion of my earnings to donate to another student or person who, like me, needs a chance to make their simple, meaningful dream come true.
