My Travel Story

Hello everyone! I am so excited to share that I will be going to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica this summer for 3 weeks to volunteer in local clinics through the International Volunteer Headquarters (IVHQ) program. This is an incredible opportunity and I am beyond grateful to be able to give back to a community in need while gaining hands-on experience in healthcare.

As many of you know, I graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2024 and am currently taking a gap year before starting PA school this fall at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). This program will allow me to work alongside local healthcare professionals in an underserved area, gaining valuable clinical experience while also immersing myself in Costa Rica’s beautiful culture! 

As I get ready for this trip, I would be so grateful for any support you could offer. In total this trip will cost $3,032 for flights, in-country transportation, meals, housing, and medical supplies. Every bit helps!
