My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Serena Guentz. I have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study abroad in London, UK for the Fall 2020 semester through Santa Barbara City College. I currently study journalism at Santa Barbara City College and I am a reporter and editor for The Channels, SBCC's student newspaper. During this study abroad program, I would be studying English, History and Art History, immersed in this beautiful and ancient city.
I was lucky enough to visit London with my mom and aunt in 2017 after graduating high school and I fell in love with the city.
I am extremely excited about the opportunity to experience and study in this wonderful city for about 3 months. Unfortunately, the cost of the program is very high, and I will not be able to afford to participate without financial assistance. I am in the process of applying for scholarships to help offset the costs, but cannot guarantee that I will receive enough to cover all of the expenditures.
