My Travel Story

As many of you may know, I am a nursing student at St. John Fisher College. I was offered to participate in this amazing experience in St. Lucia, South Africa. This volunteer trip is primarily focused on educating and helping individuals with HIV and AIDs. More than 15% of people living in South Africa have been exposed to HIV and have little to no medical support available. The closest medical center is over an hour away from St. Lucia which is why I would like to volunteer in this amazing location. I believe helping and caring for others from a medical stand point is my designated purpose in life. Being able to travel to this location and give back to those who have much less than I ever did would mean the absolute world to me.
