My Travel Story
It has been a long and arduous journey, one filled with challenges and uncertainties. Today, as I hold in my hands the documents that signify my status as a refugee for the past two decades, I am compelled to reach out and share my story with you.
The road to this moment has been filled with hardships that I never could have imagined when I first set foot on this journey. The years have been marked by loss, separation from loved ones, and the constant struggle for survival. Yet, through it all, there has been a resilient spark within me that refused to be extinguished.
Receiving these documents after two decades is both a surreal and momentous occasion. It represents not only a legal status but also a symbol of endurance, determination, and the strength of the human spirit. There were moments when I doubted if this day would ever come, but here I am, a testament to the power of hope and perseverance.
I remained in south Africa for over twenty years without going out.
