Hello, my name is Tyler. I'm a freshman and I want to study abroad in Japan from spring sophomore year to winter Junior year. This will help me in my education because colleges around me look for things like studying abroad, if I know multiple languages, etc.  it will also improve my chances of job acceptance and pay rate. I want to study abroad in Japan and teach Japan more about westerners and most importantly minority westerners too. Most of Japan is homogeneous so not many black or Hispanic people are seen there. 

Im passionate for this because I just want to explore and improve my life. I used to be a bad student and I've changed over time. I think traveling to Japan will change my views on the world and on school. I chose Japan specifically because it's a country I cherish. Many of my musical idols like Tatsuro Yamashita and Kingo Hamada were born there. Also, Japan is safe and has a great education program. What makes this trip meaningful to me is what I will experience and what I will learn on this travel. I want to partake in being a linguist when I get into college and I want to take this as my first step into language.
