My Travel Story

Hi, I'm Wes. I am a 9th grader living in Pennsylvania who has been offered to go to the South Pacific for an educational this summer, but sadly I cannot afford the trip. If I were to raise enough money, I would have the opportunity to learn about Maori culture in New Zealand, explore the city of Sydney and learn about the city's history and culture in Australia, and learn about and meet Nayawa natives in Fiji. By going to these three places, I would have a better understanding of world cultures and their heritage. Not only would I learn, but I would also have a fun time with my friends and get to know them better as people. One thing people may ask is, "How would you make a difference in each of these place's communities?" I would make a difference by participating in that place's cultural activities and making that community feel connected with other parts of the world. To wrap things up, this trip would mean the world to me. I've never been out of the country, nor have I ever flown in an airplane. I am also very eager to learn about other cultures from around the world and see what they are all about! I appreciate you spending your time to read this, and I hope you consider donating!
