My Travel Story

Hello everyone !
My name is Chloe, and I’m embarking on a transformative journey through France, Spain, and Portugal with my beautiful dog, Sushi.

I’m passionate about sustainable living and community building, and this trip will allow me to delve into various aspects of permaculture and participative construction.

This journey has multiple goals:

1. Learning about Natural Building: Discovering how to construct homes using natural materials and permaculture techniques.

2. Sustainable Living Skills: Gaining hands-on experience in cheese-making, meat preservation, animal care, and managing fruit and vegetable patches.

3. Community Integration: Understanding how to integrate these practices within community settings and contribute to the broader community.

The costs associated with this trip, including caring for Sushi, food during my volunteer placements, travel expenses, and educational program fees, are quite substantial. I need to raise between 6,000 and 7,000 euros to cover these expenses.

Your support will enable me to cover:

• Sushi’s care: Ensuring he is well taken care of throughout the journey.

• Food : Managing my living expenses during my volunteering and educational activities.

• Travel Costs: Covering transportation between the countries and within the local areas.

• Educational Fees: Funding my training to enhance my skills and knowledge.

I will be volunteering on participative construction sites, working on community gardens, and engaging with local families. This hands-on experience will be shared with the 800 volunteers at Waking Life  (an organisation I'm part of since 4 years based on a volunteering program) , fostering cultural exchange and collective growth. Your contribution will help me bring valuable skills and insights back to Waking Life and support the organization’s mission.

    Volunteering on a farm with an heliodome (eco sun house looking like a shell).
    We can not wait to met the family, the animals and to make cheese and saucisson and to help with the farm !
