My Travel Story

As student, I hope to be one of the future doctors of America. Being able to experience the life of a doctor who helps people in need would help give me more insight of the medical field. As I volunteer on this trip, I will be able to help many people and assist the doctors giving them medical care. I will also be able to help build and creat those clinics where people can be served. Since I am a person of Haitian heritage, I feel happy that I will have the chance to help people close to home. Even if its just helping people register into the clinic, would make a difference. Since I am a highschool student, there aren't many options for me to volunteer abroad. I really wish to help people all over the work. Once I saw the GapMedics program, I realized that I could be able to help people and see what it is like in the medical field at the same time. It would be a perfect experience for me. But as a dual-enrollment student, I don't have a lot of time to get a job and have enough time to raise the money I need. With your help, I could peek into the life of a missionary, a doctor, and live the life of a loving and helping volunteer.
