My journey from the mountains of Azad Kashmir to the global stages of COP28 and COP29 was a transformative leap for both my education and career, crystallizing my academic knowledge into a fierce, actionable passion for climate justice. Being chosen for COP30 is not about a destination, but a critical mission: it is the essential next step to bring back cutting-edge strategies and forge powerful alliances to directly benefit my community. I have witnessed firsthand how climate change devastates our valleys, and this project is deeply personal; it's the fire that fuels my commitment to ensure we are not just victims, but architects of our own resilient future. This opportunity is meaningful because it allows me to transform global dialogue into local action, ensuring the voice of my homeland is not just heard, but heeded, turning my personal ambition into a collective victory for a sustainable Azad Kashmir.
