This March, I have the opportunity to study abroad in the Netherlands through an education-focused program that means so much to me, both personally and professionally. As a multilingual education major and student teacher, I am deeply passionate about supporting students from all backgrounds and creating classrooms where every child feels seen, valued, and capable of success.

I chose this program because the Dutch education system emphasizes teamwork, shared responsibility, and student-centered learning—values that strongly align with the kind of teacher I hope to become. During the trip, I will visit Saxion University of Applied Sciences and local Dutch schools to observe how educators work together across roles and communities to support diverse learners. Seeing these practices in action will help me grow beyond textbooks and truly understand what inclusive education can look like in different parts of the world.

This experience is especially meaningful to me because I want to bring global perspectives into my future classroom. As someone preparing to teach students with different languages, cultures, and experiences, learning from an international education system will help me better advocate for equity and inclusion at home. I hope to take what I learn abroad and use it to positively impact my future students and the communities I serve.

Your support would mean more than just helping me travel—it would be an investment in my growth as an educator and in the future students who will benefit from the lessons I bring back. Thank you for believing in me, encouraging my journey, and helping me take this important step toward becoming the teacher I aspire to be.
