My Travel Story

Hi, I’m Ava and I’m 9 years old. I’ve been in Spanish immersion school since kindergarten. I am raising money to go to Costa Rica next year as a way to continue my immersion education after 5th grade. I would travel with a group of other immersion students and be staying with a local family. While there I will learn the culture, practice my Spanish, have lots of learning experiences and spend time working on projects for the community. In the past, these trips have included work like building a greenhouse for the town, painting the school, and building a public playground. My goal is to raise enough to help me afford travel/airfare expenses, food, lodging (on the days not at the host family's house), and transportation within Costa Rica. Thank you for considering!
