My Travel Story

Izzie and her peers from the Haralson County High School Theatre program are visiting New York City during spring 2025. This trip will of course be fun, but will also be educational for the students in the theatre classes. Along with sightseeing to various NYC locations, there will be a Broadway workshop where these students will learn from the literal best of the best. The students and chaperones will also get to visit historic sights such as Ellis Island, Central Park, 30 Rockefellar Plaza, and the 9/11 park. For some students, this will be the trip of a lifetime. Not only will they get to experience different locations, cultures, and food; they will also be able to bring ther knowledge they gained from learning from and watching Broadway performers. This knowledge will help the next generation of HCHS Theatre stars put on the best performances for years to come. Izzie has been a part of theatre since she was 8 years old partcipating in theatre summer camps, theatre club, Junior ThesCon, and theatre class which have all included multiple practices and performances. She was voted Junior Thespian of the year for her school in 2023 and plans on taking theatre and film editing classes when she starts high school in the fall.
