It's no question that the last couple of years have been hard on everyone. This year has been hard for me on a few levels. I'm a single parent who works full time and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Elementary Education, my eldest son is on the Autism spectrum and requires quite a bit of help, and earlier this year I nearly died during bariatric surgery in an attempt to improve the quality of my life. 

However, I have never faced any of these issues alone.

In my downtime, I downloaded a game to play and wound up meeting someone that I never expected. Ben has been easily the most supportive person, who genuinely cares about me, and my kids. Miles upon miles may separate us, but the connection is strong and we work very hard to make sure each other's needs are met in the relationship. After nearly losing my life, we have been desperately trying to save the funds to finally bridge the gap and be together, but I need some help. I decided to go first to him (not alone, a friend is joining me) since US travelers don't need a Visa. 

I know it's a long shot, but my whole heart is with this man. We have so many mutual interests and similarities, and so many things simply line up in our values and goals for me to consider this to be a coincidence. 

Love picks people, not places, and just because his place is 8,400 miles away doesn't mean that I don't love him like he lives next door.
