My Travel Story

by: Nurul Solihah Start Date: Mar 10, 2018 - End Date: Apr 18, 2018
Hello

My name is Nurul and I’m a third year student in university majoring Agriculture. I live in Indonesia. In my university system, one of the requirement to graduate is doing internship. Last year I went to study exchange in Bangkok, Thailand. It was a life changing experience. Besides the joy of having the experience to travel abroad, it’s the ability to gain international experience along with the knowledge and skills I learned during my study there.

So I decided to apply for internship abroad through WWOOF (World Wide Oppurtunity on Organic Farm). It's a worldwide movement linking volunteers with organic farmers and growers to promote cultural and educational experiences based on trust and non-monetary exchange, thereby helping to build a sustainable, global community. There I will live alongside my host helping with daily tasks and experiencing life as a farmer.  I am passionate about organic movement and learning (or sharing) ways of living a more sustainable life. They have many destination all over the world, but I am interested to do the internhsip in Spain as it's the most important producers of vegetable in Europe and Cereal producers or Germany as it has many good facilities for agriculture.

I saved up some money to do internship abroad, but I just got back from Bangkok and I used up almost all my savings to sustain my living cost there.  My university open a scholarship program to cover up the flight cost and living expense, but this scholarship dateline is closing soon and the requirement to apply for the scholarship is I have to be accepted by the internship program. Therefore, I will use the money to apply for this program application fee . This fund raising will be very helpful for me. Thank you
