I have the opportunity to participate in International Volunteer HQ’s Animal Care project, which benefits both rescued animals and children from low-income areas of Cordoba, Argentina. Volunteers help at a small farm that works as an animal refuge and learning centre where local children spend the day connecting with animals in the outdoors, getting involved in activities that they would not be able to access through their own means.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime, to travel to South America, supporting both rescue animals and children at risk. Thank you for your support in helping make this happen.

    Friday is Go Time! / ¡El viernes es hora de irse!
    A quick but meaningful thank you to all who have supported my trip to Cordoba, Argentina so far! Friday I take flight for a 27 hour trip. When I get there I get a days rest and then straight to volunteering with La Granja Del Sr. Brito, a farm for rescued animals that provides therapeutic opportunities for at-risk children from the community. I've been working hard on my Spanish so I can support this organization as best I can, and have already made friends with folks on the ground there.

    This is the biggest trip I have ever planned and traveled on, so thank you everyone for your support! The animals and children in Cordoba thank you too! Gracias a todas!

    La Granja Del Sr. Brito - Volunteer Placement
    La Granja del Sr. Brito, is a non-profit foundation, whose main objective is to promote the welfare of those most vulnerable through contact with animals, especially horses. That is why we have two axes of work: we provide Equine Therapy -free- to people with disabilities and Hippotherapy -free too- to people with functional diversity and minors under social risk through a Social Intervention Program that works as occupational therapy.
