My Travel Story

Hello family, friends, friends of friends and all. I could use your help to raise money for my gap year travels starting in the fall of 2018.  After 12 years of strenuous school, especially the intense and demanding French high school system, I decided it will a good time to spend a year of discovery and exploration to see more of the world, to give back and to prepare myself for the next stage of my life.


I am planning on spending about 4 months abroad and filling this time doing animal volunteer work. As some of you may already know, animals and wildlife are a passion of mine, and there are so many organizations with limited funding and staffing that do amazing things for animals in need so they rely on volunteers to function. I am looking to pursue a career in animal behavior so this trip will be fundamental for me to gain hands-on experience working with all different kinds of animals and will better prepare me for the university application process. I will also be teaching english in Bali to unprivileged children. I want to help out small organizations that are doing incredible things all while experiencing new cultures and meeting new people.


I have already decided for the most part on where I will be volunteering (these may be subject to change):

Baan Unrak, Thailand. Rescue for street dogs and cats, providing medical care, sterilization and finding forever homes for them.
Bali, Indonesia. Aid unprivileged children in their learning and confidence in areas such as English, Computers, Sport, Music and Arts. 

Although I would volunteer, these programs charge fees for room and board, medical care and administrative costs. In order to make this happen I will need to raise approximately 4000$ to pay for the programs and airfare to these locations around the world.

Even the smallest amounts would be greatly appreciated.

Chers amis, amis d'amis et tout le monde. Je pourrais utiliser votre aide pour récolter des fonds pour mes voyages pour mon année sabbatique qui démarre à partir de l'automne 2018. Après 12 ans d'études exigeantes j'ai décidé de passer un an de découverte et d'exploration du monde, de redonner et de me préparer pour la prochaine étape de ma vie.

J'ai l'intention de passer environ 6 mois à l'étranger et de remplir ce temps en faisant du bénévolat avec les animaux. Comme certains d'entre vous le savent déjà, les animaux sont une passion pour moi, et il y a tellement d'organisations qui ont un financement limité qui font des choses extraordinaires pour les animaux dans le besoin. Je cherche à faire carrière dans le comportement animal, ce voyage sera fondamental pour que je puisse acquérir de l'expérience avec tous les types d'animaux et me préparer au processus d'admission à l'université. Je vais également enseigner l'anglais à des enfants defavorisés à Bali. Je veux aider les petites organisations qui font des choses incroyables tout en découvrant de nouvelles cultures et en rencontrant de nouvelles personnes.

J'ai déjà décidé pour la plupart des associations où je serais bénévole (ceux-ci peuvent encore changer):
Baan Unrak, Thaïlande. Sauvegarde des chiens de rue et les chats, fournissant des soins médicaux, la stérilisation et trouvant des maisons pour eux.
Bali, Indonésie. Apprendre l'anglais aux enfants défavorisés

Bien que je fasse du bénévolat, ces programmes ont un coût pour l'accommodation et à manger. Pour que l'année se passe comme j'ai prévue je devrai récolter 4000 euros environ pour payer les programmes et les billets d'avion pour rejoindre ces pays lointains.

Même les plus petits montants seraient grandement appréciés.
