Hi everyone,

My Popop is the very best human I have ever had the privilege to grow up with and the very best man I know. He is the type to argue with you if you try to give him money even though he would give you his last dollar in a heartbeat. 

He has always protected me from the monsters in the dark and cheered me on through every phase and season of my life (whether he agreed with all of my decisions or not). 

This wonderful human lost his wife of 44 years coming up on five years ago. Since that time I have seen him go from not knowing how to cook more than an uncooked can of corn for dinner to doing yoga and mastering all of the recipes he comes across on his TikTok account. 

Popop raised me into the woman I am today and I want to give him a gift he cannot refuse.
Eugene, Oregan is where my grandfather was born and raised.  He has not been able to return to his hometown for over 40 years. I would love to take him to see the resting spot of his family one last time. 

Breakdown of travel; 
The trip will be for a total of two weeks with a total of 10 days for lodging.
He cannot fly due to health so we will be driving from Virginia to Oregan. 
The over 2,000 mile drive there and back will be long so I am expecting to spend quite a bit on gas unfortunately lol. 

His mother, his two older brothers, and his son are all buried in Eugene and it would mean everything if I could give him the chance to visit their resting spots and to give my Popop peace knowing he finally got to go back home.

There are so many more good things I could say about him from his time in the Navy to parasailing on his 50th birthday but this has been long enough.
