Fighting Alone: help me and my injured dog heal
My Travel Story
I’m 26 and have been on my own since I was 15. I worked over 50 hours a week while attending school full-time to escape an abusive home. I’ve spent my entire adult life in survival mode—working 60 to 80 hours a week, living frugally, and doing everything I can just to stay afloat. I’ve never taken a vacation or even left the country.
Despite all my efforts, I’m currently $40,000 in debt. And now, I’m facing a health crisis. I’ve been diagnosed with a heart condition that causes me to faint without warning, and I can’t afford the specialist visits, therapy, or treatment I need to function safely.
To make things even harder, my dog—my only real source of comfort and companionship—was just injured and needs surgery on both back legs. The cost is over $12,000, which I have no way to pay without going further into debt.
I’ve never asked for help like this before, but I’m at a point where I just can’t do it alone anymore.
