My Travel Story

by: Marshall Littlefield Start Date: Jul 2, 2025 - End Date: Jan 1, 2026
My name is Marshall, and this is more than just a semester abroad — it’s my final chance to begin again.

This August, I’ll be heading to Sweden to complete my final semester at the University of Skövde. After years of hard work, I’m just months away from earning my degree in Communication — but this journey isn’t only about a diploma. It’s about building a new life.

For me, this move is more than academic. It’s personal. It’s urgent. I’ve spent the last few years overwhelmed — emotionally, financially, spiritually — trying to survive in a place that no longer feels like home. This semester abroad is my last step before graduation… and my first step toward the life I’ve been dreaming of.

Once my studies end, I won’t be coming back to the U.S. I’ll continue my journey across Europe, searching for a place where I can finally settle — a place I can call my forever home.

This isn’t about running away. It’s about running toward a future filled with connection, stability, and purpose. My degree in Communication isn’t just a piece of paper — it’s the foundation for my lifelong mission: to connect people across borders, to foster cultural exchange, and to show others that a more open, understanding world is possible.

But right now, I’m facing a difficult truth. My flight is booked, the program is confirmed, I've been working as much as possible to save — and I’m going. But the money just isn't building, and I’m terrified I won’t have enough to make it through those first crucial weeks: rent, food, basic living expenses. I need help to get through the door I’ve worked so hard to open.

If you’ve ever felt stuck in a life that doesn’t fit… If you’ve ever dreamed of starting over with purpose and passion… I hope my story resonates with you.

Your support will go directly toward helping me finish this final chapter of school, and begin the next chapter of my life with hope, stability, and dignity. Every donation, every share, every word of encouragement brings me closer to the future I’ve been fighting for.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for believing in second chances. And thank you — from the bottom of my heart — for helping me find my forever home.
