My Travel Story

Kent State University requires all its fashion students to study abroad before they graduate. So, I am off to Italy for the fall! Scholarships have been incredibly limited due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we are doing everything we can to raise money in order to afford the cost of living there for a few months. I am incredibly excited and I cannot wait to get more experience in my field through this special program! Florence is the fashion capitol of the world, and I am honored I get to walk the cobblestone streets and experience a whole different culture. While I'm sad to leave friends and family behind, I know this experience will help me grow not just as a designer, but as a person as well! I have been saving up for a while, but thought maybe this program could be a good way of getting some extra support from friends and family.
