My Travel Story

Hello everyone!!

My name is Carmen. I am from Spain and I am working as a nurse since 2 years. After working in different nursing areas, I would like to try something different. That’s why I have recently signed up for a Postgraduate Degree in International Cooperation as a nurse. It will begin in October and the internship will be a very special experience. It will take place in Peru, taking part in a health promotion and education project in El Agustino or Huaycán community, for about 3 weeks.

After my internship, I would like to stay in Peru for a while, maybe around half a year. The plan is to apply for some more internships or even jobs as a nurse to put into practice the knowledge gained. Being a cooperant aid worker seems like a dream to me! Obviously, I would like to travel around Peru as well and discover the culture, the people, food and amazing landscapes.

At the moment I am emancipated and with my current work and all the bills to pay I only have little money left every month to save. That’s why I am asking you to help me funding my travel project.

I am really excited about this experience. I am pretty sure it will spread my horizons, give me a new perspective about different cultures, my career and many other things I cannot measure yet. It will be a personal and professional development experience that will definitely change my life.

I have already paid the postgraduate registration, but I would need some economic help for the expenses trip, such as plane tickets, vaccinations, insurance, visa, accommodation, local trips, and the like.
