My Travel Story

Hi friends!
I am interning abroad in Dublin, Ireland, this summer. I will be working at Reads Print and Design. I am beyond thrilled for this experience. Interning in Dublin will help further my education and experience in my field by working hands-on in an organization. I am currently studying Communication and Graphic Design in hopes of having a career in marketing for a nonprofit organization. I hope to use my communication and creative skills to make some sort of positive impact on our world, starting within communities. I am passionate about this project because I love helping others. I have always wanted to travel and see the world. What really inspired my motivation for all of this, was my volunteer trip in Puerto Rico, last summer. I still feel so grateful to have been apart of the recovery and rebuild initative, from hurricanes Irma and Maria, that took place there. That trip just made me want to continue to help others as well as continue to experience our precious earth. I chose Ireland for many reasons. I have always wanted to go; it seems like magical place, from the city, to the miles of greenery, cliffs, and water- it has everything. The variety of opportunities in Dublin's business sector has been growing for the past decade and makes it an exciting place to work and live. I have also recently discovered that I am 25% irish, which does not sound like much, but is my second majority ethnicity. I am looking forward to connecting with my roots, living and working in Ireland, following in my ancestors footsteps.
