My name is Courtney Baird and I am a sophomore at Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo. I am intending to Study Abroad in Paris, France for Fall 2021. I never imagined I would have this opportunity to Study Abroad as it was always financially out of the picture. Amid the pandemic, I had a lot of down time to ponder what I wanted to do in the future and personal goals for growth and development. I came to the realization that financial constraints should not be the limiting factor on pursuing my dreams. I came to the conclusion that I had every capability to fundraise and work to cover the costs of my Study Abroad trip. I believe this to be a benefical investment in my future and something that will help me become a more well rounded and marketable candidate career wise and personally. I am ecstatic to pursue Studying Abroad since I have never left the country and it has always been a dream of mine. I hoping to fundraise to help offset the expenses of my trip abroad and lower the potential quantity of loans I will have to take out to make this dream possible.
