My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Tara. I am a recent graduate of San Diego State University, where I completed my bachelor’s degree in just three years. I am currently pursuing a one-year post-baccalaureate program as I prepare to apply to graduate school, with the goal of building a career in healthcare.
One of my biggest dreams has always been to complete an internship abroad. Last year, I was accepted into the Absolute Internship Abroad Program, but unfortunately had to decline due to financial limitations and not receiving the necessary scholarships. Since the age of 18, I have been fully financially independent, without family support, and I am not able to take out loans. Balancing this reality while being a full-time student on campus Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 7 PM has made it extremely challenging to save enough for opportunities like this.
Participating in an internship in Spain would be a life-changing experience for me. It would allow me to gain hands-on experience in a new culture, expand my global perspective, and strengthen my preparation for a future career in healthcare. This opportunity aligns deeply with my academic goals, professional ambitions, and personal passion for learning from diverse communities.
I am seeking financial support to help cover the cost of the program so I can finally pursue this dream. Any assistance big or small would mean the world to me and would help make an opportunity possible that I have worked so hard for.
