My son, Korbyn, unexpectedly passed away in 2017. just weeks after his 9th birthday. During the worst turmoil of our lives, we decided to allow our son to be an organ donor; if we could prevent any other parents from going through the loss of their child and allow our son to be a real life hero in the process, we had to. It also gave up hope of continued life, and provided some sort of explanation of why this was happening to our baby, our oldest child, our baby boy. It had to mean something, and donation was the only thing that made sense.

Now, almost 3 years later, we have been in contact with the recipient of my baby boy's heart - now a teenage boy, who at the age of 12, and just a week after his own birthday, underwent heart transplant surgery and recieved the gift of life. He is doing amazing, and his mother and he have agreed that they would love to meet my family! 

As wonderful as it is to be in contact with the family who now cherishes the beating of my little boy's heart just as dearly as I do, a piece of my heart beats in the chest of a boy whom I have never gotten to lay eyes on. I so greatly wish to meet this boy and his family. I pray that I have the chance to hear my son's heart beating again. I want to share stories, give and receive hugs, to smile, laugh, and even ugly cry with this family. They are my family now, too. I love and cherish them all as if they were always part of me. 

Please help myself, my husband, and my daughter meet the family that brings us hope, love, and life.
