Going to Beliez is important to me because it would help me get a foot in the door for my dream career. Working in marine biology is a very competitive profession and not only am I putting in the work towards my schooling but if I could go to beliez I would be putting in the experience aswell. which is very important in this line of work. I chose this destination over the others because I get the most out of my trip and it has the biggest array of different activities that would allow me to use this knowledge in different fields of marine biology. Some of the activities include studying whale sharks aswell as different fish species and that right there is two incredibly different job opportunities. Then you throw getting rid of the invasive species like lion fish, and that helps with environmental conservation which is another job opportunity, aswell as coral restoration which I will also be doing on this trip. Besides the huge amounts of knowledge I would gain from this trip I would also be scuba diving every day which happens to be my favorite outdoor activity. I spent six weeks getting scuba certified to dive around muggy Arizona lakes...help a girl out:) lastly I think I deserve this! I work very hard in school as well as out of it, I'm very determined and I simply want to make the world a better place for everyone/thing living in it.
