Australian OT Conference presentation
My Travel Story
I'm so excited!
I’ve been invited to present at the Australian Occupational Therapy Conference in June, a unique opportunity. This conference brings together global leaders in occupational therapy, education and healthcare and sharing my expertise would be an honor.
My abstract presentation topics:
1. The impact of artificial intelligence (AI) and technology on school-based occupational therapists
2. Insights from the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Framework for educational equity
Artificial intelligence (AI) and technology are revolutionizing the way school-based occupational therapists support students with special needs. By incorporating AI-driven tools, such as documentation platforms, motor assessment apps or adaptive learning platforms, OTs can provide more personalized and data-driven interventions.
The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) provides a foundation for ensuring that students with disabilities have access to free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. Now, more than ever in 2025, we have to advocate for continued funding for the IDEA so that schools can better meet the needs of students with special needs, promoting educational equity and inclusion. I'm so proud to advocate for IDEA in this way!
Sharing these insights at the Australian OT conference, I get to contribute to a worldwide conversation & I would love your support!
