Hello! I am an Interdisciplinary Gender Studies graduate who is traveling to Kathmandu, Nepal for 5 weeks as an NGO support volunteer. As I am interested in social issues and development studies, especially those related to women, this opportunity will compliment my education. It will also help with widening my career path to include technical work and project coordination and manaement besides research.

I will have the privilege of working with small NGOs and supporting their much needed initiatives to help the local community. This program will also give me the opportunity to contribute my knowledge to the betterment of livelihoods in the country, especially women's situation.

I have always been fascinated by Nepal, so this will give me the opportunity to have first-hand experience of the Nepalese culture. I also hope I would be able to have a positive impact on the community as I am sure it will have on me and my skills!
