My Travel Story

Hi everyone! This May, I have the incredible opportunity to travel to Tokyo, Japan for a psychology study abroad program. By adding a psychology minor to my nursing major, this experience will allow me to learn about mental health and human behavior from a global perspective, immerse myself in a new culture, and grow beyond what I can learn in a classroom. I truly believe this opportunity will have a lasting impact on my future career and help shape me into a more knowledgeable, well rounded, and compassionate nurse.

Since moving to Tyler, I've worked really hard to find a job and support myself, and I'm continuing to work and save as much as I can. I also won a $500 scholarship, however, even with these efforts, the total cost of this trip is still overwhelming. I'm trying to better myseli and take advantage of opportunities that will help me grow and build my future. If you're able to donate, it would truly mean so much to me. Every little bit will help!
