Greetings to you all, thank you for visiting this fundraising page that I set up for my Summer 2021 volunteer trip. This is a volunteer trip I orchestrated with the help of Take Care of Home Org, a non profit organization in Ethiopia. As an Ethiopian/Eritrean born in America I made it my personal mission to become more involved with initiatives and organizations, that take place in Ethiopia. When I found Take Care Of Home I was moved by the there passion, resilience and creativity, and wanted to give a helping hand. This non profit org focuses on helping build and provide schools in Gonder, Ethiopia distributing school supplies and sanitary supplies, and even uniforms for over 500 students. As a student myself I know the importance of being a "ready student". 

As a 22 year old college student in my last year of undergrad at UCR majoring in Psychology, and as a part-time worker, I know all about the importance of management. I am an organizer and deligent planner and was able to successfully note what the goal of the fundraising would be in regards to giving the students school supplies, sanitary products and uniforms. However, I need help with getting my plane ticket which would cost over $1,000. With my job not increasing my hours and my school inhibiting me from getting a second job, I worry about meeting the needs on my end. Making this page gives me hope. It gives me hope that I will be able to actually see the faces of these students that I admire so much. I hope that you can fund my travel as I take care of home.
