This summer, I have the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Japan—a 14-day journey through Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, and Osaka, where ancient traditions meet modern innovation. As a sophomore majoring in Music Business, this experience isn’t just about travel—it’s about stepping out of my comfort zone, gaining global perspective, and learning from a culture that deeply influences the entertainment industry I hope to work in.

Why Japan?
Japan has always been a dream destination for me. From its rich cultural history to its modern idol and entertainment industries, Japan offers unique insights that directly connect to my field of study. I’ve long admired the language, art, and music scene, and this trip allows me to see it all firsthand. Since the program happens during my birthday, it would also be a once-in-a-lifetime way to celebrate in a country I’ve always dreamed of visiting.

Why This Matters
This will be my first time studying abroad, and it will open doors for me both personally and professionally. I’ll gain skills like adaptability, cultural awareness, and communication that go beyond the classroom. I’ll also bring back new knowledge and perspectives that I can share with my classmates, my community, and eventually, in my career in the music and entertainment industry.

The program cost is $5,000, and I’m raising a little more to help with meals and fees. As a student balancing classes and daily expenses like gas and food, this trip would not be possible without support.
