My Travel Story

My name is Sam, and I'm preparing to take the next big step in my life by moving to China to teach English.

After nearly a year of job hunting in the UK with limited success, I realised that there are better opportunites abroad to grow both personally and professionally. Teaching in China offers not only stable work but also the chance to contribute in a meaningful way.

I'll be joining an organisation that supports under-resourced schools and children who might otherwise have limited access to quality English education. This role isn't just a job, it's educational and cultural exchange, where I can help empower local students while learning about their communities and way of life.

Right now, I'm raising funds to cover essential pre-departure costs, which will enable me to start this chapter with confidence and clarity. These funds will go toward document fees, finding somewhere to live once I arrive, and securing a safe, stable landing. I also hope to bring small gifts and learning materials, like stationary and sweets from the UK, so that the students I will be teaching can enjoy a little something new, fun, and memorable during our time together.

Any support will go directly toward helping me start this journey on the right foot (fully focused on teaching and giving back), without carrying the weight of financial worries from home. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and for being part of this new chapter with me.
