Japan as Disabled Solo Traveller!
My Travel Story
Japan has been my top tier country since a lot of years and after studying university I finally have the time to start this journey. Why Japan? Well first of all I've always been a huge fan of anime and manga industry, but there's a a much underrated reason: everytime I had interaction with japanese people I felt at ease, I love their respect of space, privacy and also how they always respect rules. For me, as a solo traveller, this is something I value a lot and makes me want to travel even more in this country and learn more about it.
This travel means a lot for me, mainly because I want to see how much I am able to handle by myself but also to break stereotypes that people with chronic illnesses can't travel by themself and also help people with similar situations once they will take this steps.
I often see tons of travel bloggers but none of them talks about travelling in an inclusive way, and I can't find any specific bloggers who talk about disability awareness connected to travelling, and I'm sure there are tons of people out there with my same issue who would like to know more.
Aside of this specific reason I'll be starting my master's degree in September and one of the things I want to achieve as a Global Health student, is going for internship in Kyoto but in order to do that I'd feel safer if I travelled the country by myself a bit before deciding to go in there for studies.
I don't know how many people will reach this fund campaign, but I hope I'll have the possibility to have a little bit of help with it.
I will thanks in advance, anyone who will decide to give even a small help.
Thanks a lot
Clara
