My Travel Story

Hello! We are Tia and Ana, and we recently had the incredible opportunity to travel to Sri Lanka. We've been friends since university, and together, we embarked on a journey to teach English, graphic design, and photography to children in Sri Lanka.

Our experience was amazing. The Sri Lankan people welcomed us with open arms and warm hearts, making us feel right at home. We were continuously inspired by the kindness and generosity of everyone we met. The children we taught were exceptionally bright, eager to learn, and full of potential.

Our day started with teaching older children in school about graphic design and photography, where we prepared lessons and showed them how to design in Canva and how to use a camera. Later in the day, we prepared for our English lessons with the children from the street. We taught them about different things, we sang English songs and in the end, we taught them a dance to one of our Slovenian songs. This was their favourite thing, so we danced at the end of every lesson. The kids were of different ages, but they were all very smart and devoted to learning.

Seeing the smiles on the faces of our students and witnessing their progress has been incredibly rewarding. We chose Sri Lanka because of its rich culture, beautiful landscapes, and the need for educational support.

This journey has been meaningful beyond words. It has reinforced our belief in the importance of giving back and has solidified our commitment to making a difference. Every lesson we taught and every interaction we had has left an indelible mark on our hearts.
